Somewhere along the line, I read a theory that states that all of reality is just one unbelievably fast photon zooming from point to point, creating everything.

Matter is, in fact, made up of photons; everything we sense is nothing more than  slowed-down light. So if we are made of photons, it might pass that we are a single photon.

What attracts me to this theory is that it implies not just that we are all connected, but that we are truly and inextricably ONE. We might have separate bodies, but we are all connected to the same field of consciousness. Each one of us is literally everything that ever was, is, or will be.

That is a powerful chunk of philosophy to chew on; but I think it’s worth the time and effort. Once we begin to concentrate on what binds us, rather than what separates us, life will become much simpler and more wonderful.
